HERSTORY

Our vision was to shake up expectations of what Search is or could be. We wanted to feel more like a studio than an agency. And this is still our vision today.

We were bored of the traditional, stuffy culture of Search that dominated the UK market. We decided the best way to fix this situation was to grow our own. In February 2015 BD Search was born.

We are emancipating Search from the transactional drudgery of agency culture. We continue to push boundaries and smash people’s perceptions of what Search can be. We are creating engaged, safe and responsive spaces for emerging talent markets.

‘Headhunting’ is immersed in aggressive thinking.  Hunting is aggressive. That’s not what we do. Language is important. Language creates culture.

We curate intelligence, relationships and networks. We build our services through trust, sensitivity and engagement. We do not hunt.  We reach out to a vibrant, diverse innovative world of talent. We reach out to marginalised groups who are not represented in the mainstream.

Our work is dedicated to the visions and dreams of changemakers. We celebrate visionary artists, thinkers, scientists, activists, innovators, technologists and policy makers who change the world for the better. We help turn those visions into reality.

We seek to empower, inspire and invest in future talent and underrepresented groups.

We embrace innovation, creativity and new ways of thinking to promote the exchange of ideas and talent for positive change in the world.
